Interested in learning to fly?
The Tidewater Soaring Foundation grants up to three scholarships annually for individuals between the ages of 14 and 22.
The scholarship includes 35 instructional flights, study materials, and membership in both the Soaring Society of America and the Tidewater Soaring Society for the scholarship period. Flight training will be conducted by the Tidewater Soaring Society at the Garner Airport in Isle of Wight County. Scholarship recipients will be expected to fly at least two days per month. The scholarship period begins June 1st and all flights must be competed within one year. Applications will be judged by an independent panel of aviation experts with financial need and interest in aviation as the primary criteria. The 2021 Application is due March 15th. |
